A Silk Summer...
Not sure if any of you have noticed, but in a few of my photos I've been wearing these silk shirts. YES, they are really just scarfs. I know it might not be anything new to some of you girls but they've definitely been my go-to ALL summer long.
I first saw them this past fall when someone showed me this Lifestyle Blogger from the LA area, who I'm still obsessed with btw. She's super authentic and seems truly down to earth, she's someone who will show you all her little tips/tricks + everything in-between. That is how I got hooked, because she really didn't hide a lot which I find to be amazing because some of these bloggers like to share a little, but when it finally comes down to getting real they just don't. Anyways, she posted a photo with this cute outfit and it looked like a scarf as a top and I was obsessed, and was praying she would share with us the deats. Sure enough she did, and the scarf was from Amazon... YES.AMAZON! She gave the specific link and everything. #blessed. I was so in love with her look from that post, that I went on Amazon and got myself two different colors for the summer to come.
THEN, I went home (to NY) a few months ago and wore one of my tops out, and my mom gave me one of her old scarfs and BOOM I had three different scarfs that could be worn about 3-5 different ways. Do you know how many outfits that can be!!??! Like COME ON!!! California summers are HOT whether you’re by the coast or inland and they have been my go-to shirts for events, parties, or just nights out + I ALWAYS get compliments!
Above are some photos of how I've worn them out, at least from the times I've taken pictures in them! I promise they are super easy to wear whether you have a small chest OR just more to work with, if ya know what I mean. I say this because you tie the scarf, so it will help support you based on how YOU feel in it!
